A group exhibition exploring the portrait genre The "Persona" exhibition offers a perspective on the portrait genre as a dialogue —between the artist and the model, the artwork and the viewer, the inner and outer worlds.
From May 15 to August 9, 2025, Alina Pinsky Gallery presents a group exhibition exploring the genre of portraiture.
The title refers to "persona" in the Jungian sense, meaning the socially acceptable mask a person wears to adapt to societal expectations. The exhibition seeks to explore this complex interplay between the subject and its projection. The distinction between the true "self" and the image is key to understanding the phenomenon of the portrait. The exhibition brings together sixteen artists of different generations, working across various media: painting, graphics, and photography.
An exhibition catalogue was published for PERSONA, featuring works presented in the show as well as additional pieces that were not included in the exhibition.
