Personal Exhibition of Evgeny Muzalevsky A large-scale statement based on material from the past three years. The exhibition will feature large canvases, as well as graphics, photography, embroidery, bronze sculpture, and video. The gallery will present for the first time a short film created by Muzalevsky.
On September 9, a new solo exhibition by Evgeny Muzalevsky opened at Alina Pinsky Gallery — a large-scale statement based on material from the past three years.
The artist’s recognizable visual language, characterized by freedom and intuition, a sense of rhythm and harmony, is further enhanced by his ongoing artistic explorations—returning to color, elements of figurativeness, and new images and narratives. In 2023, in Saint Petersburg, Muzalevsky created large abstract diptychs on canvases cut like diary pages. Some of these works will be included in the exhibition. In the summer of 2024, Muzalevsky settled in Barcelona and observed the light in a spacious studio — the outlined shadows of handcrafted constructions and household objects next to large canvases became the basis for his abstract works. In 2025, the artist continued his experiments in Germany.
A catalogue has been published for Evgeny Muzalevsky’s solo exhibition, featuring an introductory essay by art historian Pavel Gerasimenko. The book presents over 60 selected paintings and graphic works from 2023–2025, embroideries created by the artist’s mother based on his works, stills from the film — Muzalevsky’s directorial debut — as well as photographs from his personal archive.
